HOPE TOWN
Hope Town is on Elbow Cay, one of a chain of small islands that lies off the eastern shore of Abaco. The island itself is six (6) miles long and half a mile wide and full of unique history, quaint charm and friendly locals as well as long white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and nearby reefs. The waters off the Sea of Abaco are ideal for boating, swimming, snorkeling, diving, sunning and fishing..... all of these make a great combination for and incredible, unforgettable island vacation.
Hope Town is about an hours plane ride from South Florida and then a short ferry ride across the Sea of Abaco.
Elbow Cay is also the home of the Elbow Reef Light house, one of three left in the world that is hand lit and wound nightly by the local lighthouse keeper. Visitors are welcome during the day to explorer and walk to the top of the lighthouse.
Hope Town offers it's visitors all the necessary service that you will need to have an enjoyable vacation. There are numerous restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner dining, grocery stores, liquor stores, gift shops, a local historical museum, scuba and snorkel trips, fishing charters for deep sea and reef fishing, kayak rentals, bike rentals, boat rentals, golf cart rentals as well internet access in numerous locations through out the settlement.
